TIMOTHY LAFAELE ・ ティモシー・ラファエレ
Lafaele was born in Apia, Samoa and began playing rugby at the age of six. He represented Auckland at U18 level after spending high school at De La Salle College.
Lafaele moved to Japan upon graduating high school and studied at Yamanashi Gakuin University, playing alongside NEC and Sunwolves winger Teruya Goto. He joined Coca-Cola Red Sparks in 2014 after graduating from university, making his Top League debut on matchday six of the 2014-15 season against Canon Eagles.
Lafaele qualified to represent Japan through residency and was called up to represent the Brave Blossoms in November 2016, handed his debut by Jamie Joseph in a home match against Argentina.
