bio

Keita Inagaki took up rugby at the age of 14 at middle school in his hometown of Niigata. He continued to play at high school and was represented Japan as part of a high-school level national side. Inagaki was made captain of his university team, Kanto Gakuin, in his final year.

Inagaki joined Panasonic Wild Knights upon graduating from Kanto Gakuin in 2013 and made his competitive debut for the club on the opening weekend of the 2013-14 season against Kintetsu Liners, just 4 months after joining Panasonic. Inagaki impressed with his performances during his maiden Top League campaign, leading to his selection in the Top League Best XV 2013-14 and Best Rookie. He was a Top League winner in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 with Panasonic, selected in the Top League Best XV in each of those three campaigns.

Inagaki earned his first full cap for the Brave Blossoms in a November test against Romania in 2014. He was selected by Eddie Jones for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England, featuring in all four group games for the Brave Blossoms, including starts in all three of Japan's wins.

He joined Melbourne Rebels for the 2015 Super Rugby season, making one appearance before coming on board for Sunwolves in the 2016 campaign.
